Traditional behavioral teachings assume students understand the emotional connection between their behavior and the associated consequences. Furthermore, social skills cannot be taught in isolation; instead the context, and what we know about the particular people near us in the context, are significant contributors towards what we define as the appropriate “social skills” to use in specific settings.
